Telehealth

Telehealth refers to providing psychological services remotely using telecommunications technologies, such as video conferencing or telephone.  A significant benefit to telehealth is that you can attend therapy sessions within the privacy and comfort of your own home. I use a HIPAA-compliant program to conduct secure video sessions with patients.  You may use your desktop, laptop, tablet or smart phone for these video sessions.

Generally, psychologists are required to be licensed in the state or jurisdiction in which both the patient and psychologist are physically located at the time telehealth services are rendered. I am currently licensed in Louisiana, North Carolina, and Massachusetts, and am able to provide telehealth services in all three states.

I am credentialed as a Board Certified Telehealth Professional by the Telebehavioral Health Institute (TBHI). This certification is granted to professionals in recognition of clinical knowledge and training regarding the provision of telehealth services.
